Every financial plan requires an offensive and defensive plan. Every day, many of us focus on growing our assets and how to select the best investments. It’s hard to budget and find the time for the unforeseen but it’s necessary. You’re insuring your health. Many expenses are routine and predictable, such as your dental cleanings and vision. But many others can put a hole in our savings. It’s encouraged to take 20% of our annual earned income and apply it to a strong insurance plan which can include your health, dental, life, critical illness and disability.
$58.65 per month can get you Basic Health and Basic Dental without drugs included. You can receive up to $750 towards your basic dental care, coverage for semi and private hospital room, paramedical practitioners including massage, physico, chiro and so many more services. For an additional $14 per month, you can add travel insurance, $150 of vision, and a higher limit for paramedical services. Or if you increase your budget by an additional $50, you can also add between $1500 - $5000 of prescription drug coverage.
We spend our lives growing and saving. And when we have a family with children, insurance is so much more important because we have little dependents that rely on our good judgement to make sure they’re safe. One accident outside of the country without appropriate coverage can mean depleting our savings. It can mean selling our house or taking out a second mortgage. It can mean working for the rest of our lives just to get back to even. Why take the chance? For one low monthly payment, we can find appropriate protection.
